Trip out to the forest this morning. Plans to go during the Christmas holiday were washed out but today was a beautiful winter's morning.
Santon Warren was very quiet with only two other cars. Annie was in her element, charging through the undergrowth covering a far greater distance than I ever would.
Plenty of Great, Blue, Coal and the occasional Marsh Tit around. Great Spotted Woodpecker was calling and drumming from by the river. Good views of Nuthatch with plenty more calling. Sadly no Brambling or Crossbill. However did have a brief glimpse of a Goshawk as it crossed high above on of the rides.
