I can't believe how long it has been since lasting posting to this blog. The summer has passed and autumn has settled in and it would seem that I've done very little birding around Burwell or any other areas.
Truth is I have been out and about but have got out of the habit of recording those visits. So will attempt to make up for such behaviour and become a better blogger!
Burwell Fen: 02/10/2017: Grey, windy morning.
Nine
Grey Partridges on the road across Tubney Fen and 5
Black tailed Godwit passing over. Plenty of exposed mud on Burwell Fen to attract good numbers of
Ruff. Spotted Redshank showing well at the top end by Pouts Hall as well as a
Greenshank.

Greenshank
The path to the Old Barn produced 12 Little Stint, 9 Ringed Plover and 9 Dunlin. Throughout there were good numbers of Ruff passing over.
Interesting that the Cetti's Warblers seem to be spreading along the river bank, calling at a number of different locations.
