Monday 12th
Walked the area behind the railway station this morning. At least eight Redwing were present but no Fieldfare. A Great Spotted Woodpecker was showing well. A distant view of quite a large group of swan on the fields by Wicken. Am assuming that they are Whooper Swan as they have been in this area for quite a while.

Tuesday 13th
A day at work putting in posts and new nest boxes ready for the next breed season. With the addition of nine Tree Sparrow and two open fronted boxes we now have eighty boxes across the site to monitor! Other than checking for repairs we are ready to go!
Good numbers of Pink-footed Goose moving around beyond Lady Fen and a good number of Whooper Swan out on the fields.
Wednesday 14th
A bright, frost morning made for a nice walk along the river to The Cotes and back. A small flock of Redwing were feeding in the bushes and a couple of Fieldfare passed over. Quite a few Robin were around and a Green Woodpecker was present as were Chaffinch and Goldfinch.
